 Austin Big Weekend Calendar
July, August, and September 2008

Hi Mike,

Summer has officially arrived, and there are plenty of ways to have fun in beautiful Austin, Texas! Here are your Calendar updates for the next three months.

We get all the dates straight from the source, but sometimes things change and it's out of anyone's control. As long as you are on the email list, I'll keep you up-to-date.

Keep Austin Weird Fest and 5k Date Change
- This event has changed to THIS WEEKEND, June 28th. Join in the fun run and afterward listen to Alejandro Escovedo, What Made Milwaukee Famous and other great bands.

July Updates and Date Changes

-The Bastille Day celebration at the French Legation is happening on Saturday, July 12, not on July 16, as it says on the calendar. See afaustin.org for more information.
August Updates and Date Changes
-The Austin Ice Cream Festival will take place a week earlier than they originally announced. This cool event is going on Saturday, August 9, instead of on August 16. Check out icecreamfestival.org.

-The firm dates for the Austin Italian Festival have been determined, and it will now be held in September rather than in August. For more info, go to atasteofitalyinaustin.com.
September Updates and Date Changes

-The date for the Texas Classic Car Show has been announced! It will be held on Saturday, September 27. For info, go to texasccs.com.

-The downtown Diez y Seis Celebration has been downsized to a one-day affair happening only on Friday, September 15. The daytime festivities will take place in Republic Square Park, and the evening fun will be held at Waterloo Park. Visit ci.austin.tx.us/parks/diezyseis.htm to read more about this fiesta.

-Unfortunately, the Texas Home & Garden Show appears to have canceled the fall show.  Check out texashomeandgarden.com for more other shows.

-The Old Pecan Street Festival is happening a week earlier than first reported; it will be on the weekend of September 20 and 21. See oldpecanstreetfestival.com for details.

Please continue to send any suggestions or feedback on festivals, the calendar itself, the website, or the email list to feedback@AustinFunStuff.com
