When we went to press late last year, Trinity University's Coates Library Cinema Series schedule was still in flux, but now it's up and running. The fourth annual international film mini-festival began Wednesday, Feb. 6, with Denmark's Adam's Apples, but you still have U.S. introspection Arranged (Feb. 13), France's Her Name Is Sabine (Feb. 20), and Mexico's The Violin (Feb. 27) to look forward to. All films are free, open to the public, and subtitled in English. Film descriptions and more info is at lib.trinity.edu/libinfo/events/cinema.shtml. The dates for the Urban Music Festival have changed. The fest is now Feb. 15-17 (your calendar says Feb. 22-24). Proceeds benefit the Musicians Exchange Group and Christ's Ambassadors to College. The City South Festival has been confirmed for Sunday, March 30, at Brooks City-Base, the corner of S. New Braunfels and S.E. Military. It's a free ($5 to park) celebration of music, food and art from 11am to 7pm. See www.southsachamber.org for more info.
SAindiefest has been postponed until October (you'll see it as March 17-18 on your calendar) as to not interfere with bands traveling to Austin's South by Southwest Music Festival. Updates and applications can be found at saindiefest.com.

Instead of the Starving Artist Art Show (on your calendar as Saturday, April 5) La Villita presents La Villita 4 - Juried Arts & Crafts Show on April 4-7. The application deadline for artists is March 10, and more info is at lavillita.com. Good luck and enjoy the local art!
