FAQs

If you don’t find your answer here, use our contact form, and we’ll get right back to you.

Can I buy the calendar in a store?
Yes! You can see a list of store locations here or you can buy online.

Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes! Check out our bulk page to learn more or go straight to our online store.

When do the calendars get discounted?
We don’t discount our leftovers. Instead we sell them in bulk or donate them.

When do you stop selling the calendars?
We usually stop online sales at the end of February.

How do I suggest an event/activity/photo location?
We love suggestions. Use the contact form.

Do you make calendars for other cities?
We have made a Portland, Oregon, version of our calendar, but it is on hiatus for 2024.

We do, however, publish the online websites The Austin Christmas Guide, The Austin Easter Guide, 4th of July Events Near Me, Halloween Events Near Me, and Christmas Events Near Me.

How do you decide where to donate?
We evaluate companies based on their fit with the mission of our calendar. If you would like us to consider donating to a particular organization, let us know via the contact form.

Over the last 18 years, we've donated to many different organizations. Examples include Keep Austin Beautiful and The Trail Conservancy, and musician/live music organizations like HAAM, SIMS Foundation, and Girls Rock Camp. We've also donated to Sustainable Food Center, HOPE, and Fusebox Festival.

We know the language used in the calendar doesn't just say "nonprofits," which may seem curious. That's because sometimes we come across a small or fledgling team that is helping making Austin great in a way that aligns with our mission, but they're not technically a nonprofit. We don't want to miss the opportunity to help them. Like when Austin's irreverent Cathedral of Junk needed to get back on its feet. That said, most donations go toward music and the environment and 99% of the money does go to official nonprofits.

Additionally, we donate my leftover calendars to places like Austin Partners in Education and the Blood Bank as a perk for donating blood.

How do I get my event or activity listed on your website?
We only create a printed calendar. The events and activities you see on the website are what’s included if you buy the printed wall calendar. If you are looking for a place to submit an event that is in the next few weeks or months, these sites are great and free to post: nowplayingaustin.comdo512.comaustinchronicle.com, and austin360.com.

How do I get my event or activity listed on your annually printed wall calendar?
We take submissions year-round, but keep in mind we need to know your next year’s date by (roughly) the end of August the previous year. Use our contact form to submit ideas.

I have an issue with my online order, what do I do?
Use the contact form to tell us what’s up, and we’ll take care of it.

I got a free calendar last year. Will I be getting another?
Sadly, probably not. Each year, any leftover calendars go to different organizations. We try to spread the love around.

Do you use recycled paper?
We print on FSC-certified paper.  For more information on the FSC, click here.
